General Information

The fourth annual Networking Tompkins County conference, scheduled this year for March 21, 1998, will be on the theme "Networking Tompkins County--What's In It for You". It is being held in Textor Hall on the Ithaca College campus.

As in previous years, the conference brings together local decision makers and nationally-known speakers for a day of discussion and information. Around 300 people have attended the event each of the last two years, and praise from the attendees of the conference is always high-both for the quality of the information, and the chance to network with others working on similar projects around Tompkins County.

This year our keynote speaker is Steve Cisler, a long-time advocate of community networking, and, until recently, the head of Apple Computer's Library of Tomorrow program. In addition, speakers throughout the day will focus on the theme of "Networking Tompkins County-What's In It for You." In addition to the speaker tracks, there are also workshops, networking-related vendors, poster sessions and demonstration where people can talk one-on-one with those who are helping connect Tompkins County together for you.
