Mark In the News!

Mark Finkelstein is featured in this month's Terrafugia Newsletter. Mark has a deposit on a Terrafugia Aircraft and has traveled to Boston to meet the builders and try the aircraft on for size. Test flights of this innovative design have led to several major modifications that are in the works.

Mark is also our publicity director at the club and passionate about sharing the experience of flying with a wider audience. We still need volunteers to talk about flying at the mall this weekend!

CT-LSA in Ithaca Mall April 10th

We will be at the Ithaca Mall with our new high tech sport plane on Saturday, April 10th and looking for people to "talk flying" with the shoppers. The Ithaca Journal will be covering this event and it should bring some publicity and new members to our club. Please call or write to help either with the plane moving or at the mall sharing your passion for flight.

Amazing Help; Our CT is on Display in the Terminal!

Not quite as easy as described but "many hands make light work." Thanks to those that helped move and assemble our light sport in the airline terminal! We had numerous volunteers staffing this display and meeting potential pilots; you guys are great!

Wow, check out the new cute CFIs we have teaching in the CT (that is Michelle from Continental and Joanne our member) We successfully returned the aircraft to the hangar Friday night and it should be approved for flight by noon Saturday. Thank-you to everyone that helped; especially the crack disassembly teams! Watch for the mall show April 10th!

Our plane attracted lots of interest from all kinds of people (even pilots!) Our CT is now safely home in the hangar.

Gettysburg Fly-Out May 8th; Battlefield Orientation April 29th at the Club

	Local pilot and club member Mike Brown is passionate about the Civil War and sharing his enthusiasm for this subject. Join us for a fun discussion at the club on Civil War life (with his props including a real flintlock rifle) and the battle of Gettysburg then fly to the actual site on May 8th. Sign up to join our caravan to the battle field and enjoy a guided tour of this park. We are planning lunch at a nearby restaurant then journey home. Planes are already reserved and owner-members are encouraged to join this trip. There is plenty of room for student pilots. Learn history the way it could not be taught in school! The trip is a leisurely 164 miles.
