Mountain Climber. Tavi gratefully heads down from the
summit of Whiteface Mountain in the Adirondacks. Mountain hiking
was always more challenging for Tavi because of his bum leg, but
he insisted otherwise. Too often, he succeeded in convincing us
that, of course he could do it! How could we think that resting
would be better for him??? This climb was the last mountain he
did, and we had to take a long breather at the top. But you'd
never know it to look at him. (August 1996)
