The dogs listed below are either in shelters, in foster care, or with their owners. Descriptions are provided by those people unless otherwise noted. Adoption inquiries should be made directly with the person listed in the dog's description.

CHUCKIE: Male purebred Border Collie. 7 years old, neutered, weighs approx. 23 lbs. Mostly black with a meticulous white chest and paws as well as defined white mark between his eyes, with medium to long hair. No health problems. Located in Pleasant Valley, NY, which is near Poughkeepsie.

Chuckie is very friendly, excellent with kids and very energetic, loves to play and run. He has lived all his life with another dog, although has not had any contact with cats at all. He is completely housebroken, being sometimes inside the house for periods of over 6 hours or more.

Chuckie sits, comes, lays down, stays, knows the words out, food, water, milk etc. He is very obedient. A fun-loving dog, he would be best suitable to a home with children who are old enough to walk him, play and run with the dog.
